Richard's Story
Went into US Navy in October after graduating. Went to Hospital Corps school in San Diego after boot camp. Stationed at Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan, then USS Repose hospital ship in Vietnam and then NAS Whidbey Island Naval Hospital in Oak Harbor, WA. Discharged from Navy in October 1971. Went to work at hospital in Mount Vernon, WA in November 1971 where I met my future wife Karen. We married in November 1972. raduated in 1975. Worked as a PA in Sumas, WA until 1978 and moved to Deer Park, WA where we lived and worked until 1984. I completed Bachelor's Degree at Eastern Washington University in 1982 and Master's at Whitworth University 1984. Moved to Anacortes, WA 1984 where I have worked in various PA positions until I retired the end of 2019. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary on November 25,2022. We have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. I have only attended one reunion, the 35th.
