Richard's Story
Life
After graduating June/76, I took it pretty easy until Sept./76
Went to work at Syncrude Project in Fort Mac. as an apprentice
welder with Ironworkers Local 720. Left in Jan./77 and worked
in and around the city. Got my journeyman welder's ticket in 79. Married in Sept./80. Joined the union in 81. Wife (Toni)
and I bought property at South Seba Beach in 81 and built our
summer cabin in 83. Lived our lives in west end of city for 13
great years, lost Toni to cancer in June/93. We did'nt have any children. Began dating again and met Tina, she had two girls, age 10 and 8. I moved out to South Seba full time in
June/94. Tina and the girls moved in with me in Sept./95. We
got married in Oct./97 but it did'nt work out and I was divorced by Aug./2000. Ashley the oldest girl was staying with
friends of mine in the city and Nychelle the youngest one lived with me after her mom kicked her out at 14. She lived at
home until July/2003, then moved back into the city. I joined
the volunteer fire department in Seba Beach in May/2002 and I
enjoy the challange and the training alot. Worked at Genesee
Power Plant on maintainence for 4 years, and have been working
at Genesee Phase 3 expansion for the last 2 years. I am now a
grandpa with a 2 almost 3 year old granddaughter and a grandson who was born in June/2004. I have someone in my life
again and am very happy living out here.

of July/2012. It has been quite a few years since I first posted my life after graduation in my profile.
Here it is 2012, and here are the updates to my life. I now have 7 grandkids, 5 girls and 2 boys. It would have been 6 girls but my daughter Ashley lost Sarah to SIDS at the age of 5 months. One grandson I don't see because he was living with his father and is now in foster care. I am still welding with the Ironworkers Union ( 31 years ) and I am still with the Seba Beach Fire Department ( now refered to as Parkland County Fire District 7 ). I have been living for the past 5 1/2 years with a great woman named Lorraine until March/2012. She moved into her own place right in the Village of Seba Beach due to her daughter Emily not wanting to live with me anymore. But we are still seeing each other and are hoping that one day soon we'll be in the same house again. Speaking of houses, I am currently adding on an additional 1488 sq. ft. to my exsisting 768 sq. ft. ( original size of cabin built in '83 ). I am doing the work myself, so between working in the NE part of the city and the fire department the building process is not moving at a very productive pace. Both my parents are gone now, mom in Oct/2008 and dad just recently in May/2012. Still enjoy a relaxing game of golf, working on the renovations, spending time on the lake with my boat and most of all spending time with family.
