Richard's Story

Life I taught history at MCVTHS Woodbridge from 1969 to 18989. From 1989 to 2001, I was Assistant Principal. In 2001, I left dear old Woodbridge for the Board of Education Office, where I was the Supervisor of Instruction for Career Majors for five years. I returned to Woodbridge in 2006., WVT is now known as the Middlesex Academy for Allied Health and Biomedical Science. The official opening is September 2008. I have two daughters, Marcie and Raechel, and two grandsons, Jack and Alex; Kathryn Grace was born Nov.7, 2006. Raechel and James were married October 20, 2007. Norah was born in 2009 and is entering 4th grade. Benjamin was born in August of 2016. I live with my loving wife, Fern, in Edison. epted 75 students for the Class of 2021 from 350 applicants. The school was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the US Department of Education. The school has been awarded Gold Medal by US News and World Report for several years and is recognized nationally as one of the best high schools. I am now 70 years old and going strong. I love every day I come to school. I have been in education for 51 years. I've worked here longer than anyone else in the history of the district. I've been honored with having a scholarship awarded in my name.. In September 2019, I was transferred to the Piscataway Campus to serve as the Assistant Principal there. It is a great school with excellent teachers and students. I retired from the district on July of 2021 after 52 years of service. I now work in a supermarket to stay busy at 75
