Richard H.'s Story
Richard H. Jacques is the CEO of California Black-Brown Summit on Reentry / Recidivism, a Special Project he founded in 2007, with the first Black- Brown Summit on Reentry, held in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Jacques has extensive experience in working with Community Based Organizations, Governmental Agencies and the Private Sector. He has held positions in State Government, serving as Assistant Director for a State Jobs Training Panel, as a Governorâs Appointment.
Mr. Jacques has been recognized, for Outstanding Community Service, by the California State Assembly and Senate, as well as the County of Orange and the City of Santa Ana. He served as a Special Liaison to the Latino Community as Executive Director of the Concilio of Orange County, an umbrella Organization for 25 non-profit Agencies.
Mr. Jacques Co- Founded, Focus Automation, a Computer Training Company that trained and placed over 700 displaced Aerospace workers in gainful full time employment. Focus Automation, later became a Publicly Traded Company.

s, working with Government and Private Funding Streams, such as United Way of Orange County, Irvine Foundation, CETA, JTPA, WIB, TRA, and DOJ/OJP among other Private, County and City revenue streams.
Mr. Jacques is working with African American Leadership, in the Faith Based Community, to bring together both Blacks and Browns to address the disproportionate representation of these minority groups in the Penal System. Mr. Jacquesâ perspective is that African Americanâs and Latinoâs have a historic relationship that dates back to the Zoot Suit Riots, dated back to Los Angeles in the 1940âs.
Mr. Jacques, Community Activism was inspired by the dislocation of his Parentâs and extended family; when they, and a whole Generation of primarily Latino families, were displaced from Chavez Ravine, current home of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Mr. Jacques holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and was active in the League of Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and has traveled extensively across the Southwest providing assistance and organizing to the community grass roots movement.
