Richard's Story
After high school I went into the marines and stayed there for 10 years. I was discharged in 1966. Went to work for the telephone company in Los Angeles, CA. I retired from the telelphone company in 1990 as a Central Office Equipment Engineer. I oversaw the installation of microwave radio relay station...Expand for more
s in the southeastern Mojave Desert. One day I went from 6500 feet above sea level with snow on the ground to 24 feet below sea level and a sunny 80 degrees in less than 90 minutes.
Some fun jobs (one of which involved returning to the telephone industry for 12 years). I stopped working for good in 2005.
