Richard's Story
I was dating Joyce Benner from our class and we got married our sophomore year in college and were married for 49+ years before she passed away on Dec 23, 2013 of COPD. I had graduated from ASU with a degree in Electrical Engineering and had a satisfying career in the engineering . We had lived in Florida right after graduation from college and then moved back to Phoenix after about 2 years. we lived in Phoenix until 1979 when we moved to Albuquerque, NM. moved to Grand Rapids, MI and in arch of 1987 we moved to Rockford where I was scheduled for a 6 month consulting job and we ended staying in Rockford. I have i daughter who lives with me now in Rockford. Our daughter had gone to nursing school and had working in Chicago for a long time but ended up here with us. I have found out that I had become very used to having a loving partner and I miss Joyce very much. I now am struggling with the terrible loneliness one faces when you lose half of your life.
