I spent ten years working for the Department of Labor in Employment and Training Programs before spending five years in the oil industry in Houston, Texas. I began my own consulting business in 1987. In 1991, I moved to Georgia and was instrumental in founding two Environmental Technology companies. In 1994, I began a writing career. I wrote a book Angel Harvey: Ain't Nothin' Sacred from 1994 to 1997 in the North Georgia Mountains with my childhood friend, Beverly Criswell, and four cats".
