Richard's Story
Well, It's time to change this up a little bit. I guess you could say that I was the official underacheiver of the classes of 72, 73 and 74. It wasn't that I was without smarts or failed a lot of classes, but that I found school too boring to endure. So You could say that I got my education at the East Detroit Public Library. eas and 2 years in Yuma AZ I was honorably discharged on Feb.3,1978. Coming home in uniform back in those days wasn't always a pleasant experience I must say, but I was proud of myself for completing something that I set out to do. The lessons I learned in the Marines have followed me and helped in my decissions since then. I learned how to ride a motorcycle in AZ back in 1976 and have had one or more in my garage ever since. I've had my share of accident in those 33 years. Most when I was young and silly were my own fault. The last one I had on Dec.6,2006 ended my postal career of 28 years. I am now retired and have a stable of bikes. My wife of 22 years died back in 2006, and now I spend my days riding with my M/C club brothers and visiting with family and freinds.
