Richard's Story
Joined the Navy and went to boot camp as everyone was starting back to school in 1970. It was a great summer that year. In my 10 years in the Navy, I did not go back to VA very often, other than family I didn't have anyone to hang with. All my peers were either dead, gone away, or in jail.
This reminds me that several people have said they remember me, I wish they would tell me where they remember me from.
I have three daughters from my first marriage Krista (39), Jenny (35?), Rebecca (33). I remarried about 15 1/2 years ago to a fine Canadian girl that I met in Nova Scotia. Her name is Beryl. Ag...Expand for more
ain I married for love, instead of for money...ha, but that is fine by me.
I retired about 6 years ago from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Since then I went back to school to earn my BA in political science and government...graduated in 2013. At the end of 2013, I completed the curriculum to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I found out that I am pretty darn good at it too. I sort of wish that I had discovered this talent 20-25 years ago,....but shoulda, coulda, woulda as the saying goes.
