Richard's Story

my stints: 1957-1958. Army Reserve Signal Corps Fort Dix, NJ. 1961-1962 activated for Berlin Crisis. Spent time at Fort Monmouth, NJ. Radio team chief for large mobile radio unit.
Cubmaster for several years at Paddy Hill School Cub pack. Older son was Cub Scout and later Eagle Scout. Younger son, earned Life badge. Went on canoe trip to Adirondacks with scouts one summer.
Climbed Mt Washington, NH at age 9. Climbed Wildcat, Mt Madison, Mt Adams, and Mt Washington again by age 13. Climbed Katadin several times. Climbed Mt Lafayette in 1990s. Served as president of Green Mt Club Manchester Branch in 1990s.
In 1990s was ski instructor at Bromley Mt, VT for school program. Skied in NY, VT, MA, ME, OR areas and 2x in Austrian Alps.
Traveled to England about 15 times to explore and to find antiques. Have traveled also to Scotland, Wales, Iceland, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Luxenburg, Italy, France, Spain, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Czech Republic, Nassau, US Virgin Islands, and Canada. Have been to about 46 of US states including Hawaii and Alaska. Missing just the Deep South states.".
