Richard's Story

LONG story! June 13, 1971 a day which will live in infamy! We all smiled and were thrilled that day at the stadium behind MP. A war was raging, some of us were drafted, some left for Canada, some enlisted - like me. Can you believe the Photo Editor and Ed in Chief with Sharon DiRamo enlisted in the - military? Yup Well here we are 40 frickin' years later, who'd a thunk it? My life ? Wow! Went in the Air Force, but some of you knew this when I made the 20th reunion in '91 just after retiring from the military, lived in Providence, keeping up with Denise Aiken, Chris D'Ambrosco, Mike Farley, Jan Wronkowski, Paula (Walker) Trice, John Leonelli, even worked with Mike Briugnoli at RI Bureau of Investigation in Cranston. Then there was the 25th reunion in Warwick, wow! I have two daughters, Kimi Davis of Maui, Hawaii, a children's youth pastor and Tiffany MaMahan of Forney, TX from my first wife Michelle Bauer, married in Dec. '72. Became a polce officer in 90-91 in Bossier City LA, then moved back to Providence to finish college at Roger Williams University Finished grad school at Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA in 1998 and ended up with an MA, instead of a JD, teaching became my passion. Lived in Little Compton from 99-2000 then took a teaching job back in Louisiana in 2000 at Northwestern State University where I met my current wife, Holly (Shirley) Stave during Christmas Fest in Natchitoches, LA in Dec. 2000. We were married in the Fench Quarter iin New Orleans in 2003. Honeymooned in Paris and Provence in France. She is a Toni Mor...Expand for more

This is my tenth year as an Associate Professor. Love my students and am teaching this summer online - Medico Legal Death Investigations and Criminal Evidence and Procedure courses. We have five cats and are currently in Atlanta at a friend's Alpaca farm. Just enjoyed several days in North Carolina in the Blue Ridge mountains in a log chalet with 3 other couples. Working on a crime, murder mystery novel and I am (became) an avid golfer, shooting 85-90 and constantly working on my game to stay in my high school shape, :-) Love novels, NPR, voted for Obama and recycle. We love gardening and good food, wine, and friends. Hope to make it to the 40th. It just so happens that we'll be in our second week of the Fall semester at BPCC, so I hope I can break away to get to RI again. Peace and love to you all!! Would love to hear from classmates.
