Richard's Story

Life Bron in Providence, RI and moved to Ohio in 1950. Lived in Ohio my whole life and I will most likely die here. Graduated from Burton High School in 1963 and worked in tool and die for two years before joining the Marine Corp in 1965. Marines put me in computers and I found I had a talent for the field. Never even met a computer or knew they existed prior to the Marines. Spent four years in the Marines learning everything I could about the field of Data Processing. Worked my way up to Sgt. in the active Marines and made S/Sgt. while in the reserves. When my enlistimet was up I got married to the girl I had dated for almost 5 years and started working in programming at Ha...Expand for more
rshaw Chemical (69-72), Adressograph-Multigraph (73-76), and Reliance Electric Company (76-99). Along the way I had 5 children, 3 girls and two boys. Made it through 4 weddings, five college graduations, and welcomed 8 grandchildren to the family. I am still married to that lady I married in 1969, 36 years. We are currently empty nesters who are enjoying our time together and watching our grandchildren develop into nice people. Turning 60 this year, 2005, with all of the aches and pains of aging. We have lieved at our current home for almost 30 years and plan on staying here for as long as I stay above ground. Since 1999, I do contract work in the computer programming field.
