Richard's Story
Life
From FHHS (1976) straight to SUNY Maritime - the N Y State Maritime (Merchant Marine) Academy. One of our alumni classmates (class of 76) attended there as well - Jenifer Barnes, so It was nice to have that friendship to hold opnto. Graduated in 1980 - BS Meteorology, and BS Oceanography (sigh 176.5 credits in 4 yrs there). I also graduated w/my U S Coast Guard Third Officer's license, and ended up as an officer on the largest US flag supertanker for Gulf Oil. I got to travel around the globe and see/have a taste ofmany countries. Married and divorced (let's not go there). I have a passion for horses (and I own one). I have an ongoing dream to be part of a therapeutic riding center for developmentally disabled children. Passion for being outdoors in nature - hiking, motorcycling, horseback riding, kayaking, scuba diving, rollerblading, white water rafting, rock climbing , going antiquing, wineries ...Expand for more
and craft fairs, historical mansions. With the right partner - anything we can share outdoors together, or with friends.
I also enjoy quiet times such as sitting in front of a fireplace playing guitar and singing, long flowing conversations, culture, basking on a beach listening to the ocean. I love ethnic foods, sushi (yummm), vietnamese, thai, etc.... You won't find me in front of the TV set watching sports, or reading the sports section. I'd rather be out enjoying what the world has to offer than inside anytime..
Yes - still single and available. The search for intelligent life in the Hudson Valley has been pretty much non-existant. Also a woman who can keep up with my activity level has been difficult to find. Since I am not co-dependent, I don't "need" someone to share my life with, but hell - it sure would be great if she did appear someday - someday soon - Maybe for 2008 that wish will be answered.
