Life Well. I retired from the Montgomery Fire Department in 2001 and took a job with the Town of Hilton Head Island two weeks later as the Senior Fire Codes Analyst for them and had a blast at work. In 2008 I was promoted to the Plans Examiner and review all plans for commercial and residential construction. In 2011 I inherited the Floodplain Manager position and currently do both jobs. I also taught for the Alabama Fire College in Tuscaloosa every now and then. I I have met a wonderful South Carolina woman and have been happily married for 14 years now. We share five children two of hers and three of mine. Leigh, her oldest is getting married this fall. Joshua, her youngest has a nine year old daughter and a three month old son, we love being around them. Jeremy, my oldest graduated from West Point and has been in the Army for ten years. He and his wife have given us two more grandchildren we adore seeing. They have moved to Arizona and we don't get to see them as often as we want to, Jessica my daughter works for her Mom at More Space Place. Joshua my youngest works for a local plantation as a security officer. We currently have two young German Shepherds that have really put us to the test. No more puppies. I have recently opened my own business on the side. A consulting business for Building, Fire and Flood codes and regulations.
