Life
First Job outside of the funeral home was working for Community Hospital under Dr. Hartley from 1971-1974. Worked in the Lab from Blood gases and crossmatching to hemotology,chemistry's & urinalysis-I remember the calls at night were long and stressful, but I enjoyed everyday of it. Then full time at Freeport-Lakewood Funeral Homes Three children, Jacquelynn Gray Turner, Krystine Anne Turner, Richard L. Turner,Jr.,Jr. is teaching Spanish in Ryan high school in Denton. nd going to Korea.My twin (Robert) has left the funeral home and returned to Lake Jackson Police Dept. to head Investigation Dept. Met my wife in prison!!
Actually, went to a party of a Prison's Warden's daughter and she was there-Love at first sight!!!Life, now consists of civic club involvements. President for the 3rd time with Freeport Lions Club, Sargent of Arms in "After 5 Rotary".
Workplace
While working as a lab tech at Brazosport Mem. Hospital, my parent's funeral home burned down which started me into a new path,namely, the family's business. Which I have not strayed from since 1974. Have opened Riverside Cremations in Freeport (Looks to be the future with cemetery prices going thru the roof) Hobby starting Riverside Arms (gunshop)
