Richard's Story
Life
I retired as a Sergeant from the Orange County Sheriff's Department on 9-11-06. I spent 27 1/2 years working in San Clemente. I moved to San Clemente in 1981 and have lived here ever since. I am married to my wife Elizabeth and have four children, Richard 27, Mike 25, Tiffany 16 and Dillon 12.
I have coached football at San Clemente High School for 18 years. I am the Frosh Head Coach. I am the play by play announcer on "Friday Night Live" which is a live internet broadcast of the Varsity Football games. ( schsfnl. com for the site ). I also call the Varsity Baseball and Softball home games.
Now that I am retired, I enjoy watching more of Tiffany's sports. She plays on the Varsity Softball and Jv Soccer teams. She also plays s...Expand for more

My other time is spent with my son Dillon hanging out. Dillon is the water boy on my Frosh Team.
I have kept in contact with Guy Bevier, Bob McClendon, Chris Walsh and a few others. I had a few old buddies up here in San Clemente a year ago including Frank Medina, Al Ledesma, Bob and Guy. I always run into someone when I stop by Besta Wan. Kenny Trout ( The Fish ) still works there. I got my dad to hire him in 1972 and he is still there making the best pizza. ( of course I taught him ).
My Bro Danny Kershner passed away a year and a half ago from cancer and I sure miss him. He was like a brother to me and he lived with me in High School. " I love you Kersh".
