Richard's Story
Life
Rick Crom (pronounced Chrome) has been part of the New York entertainment community for over 20 years as a songwriter and a performer. He is the composer/ lyricist for several off-Broadway and cabaret revues: OH FINE, RSVP, THE SUBJECT WAS NEUROSIS, ABSOLUTELY RUDE, OUR LIFE AND TIMES ,WHAT IN THE WORLD, and NEWSical at Studio 54 for which he recieved a Drama Desk Nomination for best lyrics. His topical material is featured at the CRYSTAL PALACE Theater in Aspen Colorado. Recently the Crystal Palace honored him by releasing a recording of his material; ÂWHO WRITES THIS STUFF? He came to New York in 1979 as part of the Chicago City Limits Improv Company and began working as a comedian nationwide. As a stand up comic heÂs appeared on ÂTough Crowd with Colin Quinn, CarolineÂs Comedy Hour, MTV Comedy Half-hour, ShowTime and Comedy Central. He performs regularly at the Comedy Cellar in Manhattan
As an actor heÂs appeared on Broadway in the musicals, ÂUrinetownÂ, ÂThe Goodbye GirlÂ, and ÂFootlooseÂ,. Off Broadway in ÂMerrily We Roll AlongÂ, Das Barbecue, EncoreÂs ÂFiorelloÂ, ÂLÂil AbnerÂ, and Carnegie Halls, ÂLouisiana Purchase Television: ÂED ÂThe Chris Rock Show ÂChappelleÂs Show Film: ÂBad Dog and ÂCaesar Salad
