Richard's Story
After graduating from high school I joined the US Army. I did basic training in Fort Leonard wood Missouri. My advance infantry training was done at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. When I graduateind from AIT, I was shipped to Fort Benning, Georgia. I was assigned to the 2nd Battalion 2nd Ifantry Medical Battalion. I achieved the rank of Spec. 5 and was discharged in June of 1965, about a month before my battalion was shipped to Vietnam.

I retired from the phone company and have been an ordained minister for 37 years..
I live in Denver, Colorado
Today is May 1, 2020
Thanks to God I am still in the land of the living.
I turned 77 on the first of April and that in itself is a blessing.
My family members from Walsenburg is down to 3, Jackie, Billie and myself. The last one to pass was my brother Leroy, He was 82. He passed last year August 3. 2019.
