Richard's Story
I am an engineer(electrical). I have been that way since conception. It just took a while to get the diploma. I spent most of the last 35 years building robots. Now I build the underwater kind. I am imaginative and creative and organized. I think so far out of the box that I did not know that there was a box until 2003.
I am a card carrying member of the military industrial complex, keeping manufacturing and engineering alive in North America until the rest of you come to your senses (you're welcome).
I like smart educated, practical people who think. I don't like dumb, ignorant, superstitious, trendy, idealistic, dogmatic, political people. I am always willing to give you a chance but you have to earn my trust.
I am a sensitive guy. I like to cuddle more than most. A lot of things make me get all weepy inside, but you'll never see it.
I just don't get religion but I see miracles...Expand for more
everywhere because I understand how unlikely all of this is.
I do believe science, technology and reason can solve pretty much any problem.
I have hobbies. Astronomy, photography, ham radio (N6YVW), nature, Physics, the general pursuit on knowledge. My favorite thing to do is to go outside and look up at the stars and try to figure out how to get there. Seriously. It's like a quest or a religion. I like to ponder the big questions.
I have accumulated a lot of good friends over the years. Even the ones that I have lost touch with are just as close to me now as they were when we last spoke.
I have a wife, Nancy, that I have been married to since 85. Second time for both of us. I met here when she was 10 back in N.J. I ran into her by chance, 15 years later in Orlando. (Long Story) We have two grown sons, Tom, a college student and Nathan, a buyer for a big pharmacy company.
