Richard's Story
After attending Dwyer Middle School for 7th and 8th grade, I attended Huntington Beach High in my freshman year. The summer that followed found me in Nashville, TN where I started the 10th grade at Isaac Litton High School in Madison TN. My parents moved around a lot. I left home at 14 and headed back to CA where I lived with my grandmother in Santa Ana. I attended Saddleback High School there for a while. Then I moved to Silver City, New Mexico, where I finished up the 10th grade at Silver City High School. The following summer found me out on my own again (at 16), but by the fall I was living with my father in Newport Beach and enrolled at Newport Harbor High School where I finished my high school career.

in some very diverse places. Quite an experience. And all I wanted to do was surf!
I worked in the restaurants around Newport for a couple years, then I entered the construction trade in 1974 and have been there ever since. I now have my own construction business and have been a State Licensed General Building Contractor since 1986.
I have little time to surf anymore but still manage a session here and there.
I've been married four times and have three grown children by my first wife, Leanne (Bolsa Grande High School, GG class of '72), who I still remain close friends with. I am now married to a spirited young Mexican lady, Carmen, who is from the state of Nayarit in Mexico.
So... That basically sums up my life since high school.
