After a long four month summer recess, the full Mission Basilica Mixed Ensemble is back singing at the 11AM Mass!
Here's a photo from our balcony last week from our 10-night vacation to the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island of Hawaii - our fifth stay here.
Enjoying a "free" day between events at the pool at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club in Las Vegas. My 23rd Hilton stay for 2011 - only five more stays to requalify for "Diamond" status in 2012!
I was taking the American Airlines shuttle at LAX on the tarmac from Terminal 4 to the Alaska Terminal at Terminal 3 for a flight to Portland OR. The bus drove by, not one, not two, but three Qantas Airbus A380's!
I arrived yesterday in Salt Lake City, and they had just had a dusting of snow in the mountains.
Well, I'm waiting for my 26th flight for 2011 on Southwest going from Denver CO to Orange Co tonight. My first flight as an "A" lister - no more "B" or "C" group boarding ... YEA!!!!

I had lunch today at the historic Farmer's Market in Los Angeles, a short walk from Samy's Camera. I can remember coming here in the 1960's with my grandmother and mom.
Being extra nice to the registration desk staff when checking in .... PRICELESS!!!
Flew into New Orleans this afternoon. Had dinner in the French Quarter. This trip is less stressful than my last trip in 2005 - the day before Katrina.
Enjoyed a nice dinner from West Seattle, overlooking the downtown Seattle skyline this evening before flying home to San Diego in the morning.
Enjoying a ride on Amtrak from Oceanside to Klkmath Falls OR today. The view from my roomette is spectacular! Amtrak was doing track work on the coastal track, so the train was diverted across the Tehachapi Pass.
Had an hour layover at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles today.
Before I left Klamath Falls OR by Amtrak Sunday night, I had the chance to join some of the Canon team photographing some eagles at the nature preserve just across the California / Oregon border.
Here is a shot of an eagle from Sunday just as it was landing back to her nest. The shot was just before sunset.
