Rick's Story
Life
I'm married since 1989 to Gabriela Schmidt. We have four kids, 23 year old twins Ann-Katrin and Kathleen, 21 year old Amelie, and 17 year old Liam. We;ve lived in Lake Geneva, Wi. since June 1991. I graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College in 1979 with a degree in history obtained a masters degree in secondary school counseling from Roosevelt University, Schaumburg/ Chicago in 2005. . I have been teaching social sciences and coaching tennis and basketball at Johnsburg High School, McHenry, Illinois since 1988. Previously, I taught high school/juior high school at Glidden-Ralston School in western Iowa (1979-80), junior high school at Farmer-City-Mansfield Jnior High School in Mansfield,l Illinois (1981-1986) and Lincoln Junior High School, LaSalle, Illinois (1987-88).
This next academic year will be my 33rd..... and last as a teacher/ coach at Johnsburg High School, Johnsburg, Il.
