Rick's Story
Life
A lot of water has flowed down the Missouri since I have had contact with anyone. First, it was off to UNI followed by 5 years of teaching in Iowa. That was quickly followed by 13 very wonderful years teaching in The desert Southwest in Arizona. I returned to the Midwest and Iowa when the ex (did I mention the marriage and four wonderful kids??) returned with the children. I couldn't see myself staying 1500 miles away while they grew up. The job certainly would have allowed it, but...
Anyway, I moved nearer to them and eventually got custody...Expand for more
after the ex moved on without them.
The kids are terrific.. Two boys and two girls. The oldest is a soon to be Pulitzer prize winning journalist for the Leavenworth Times in Kansas. She graduated from Buena Vista University in 2003.
My oldest son is currently a sargeant In the United States Marine Corps. He's already done his fair share in Iraq, and will probably re-enlist because he enjoys what he does.
Rebecca is currently attending Iowa State University and Aaron is a freshman at ISU.
I've remarried (Glenda Kramer '73) and moved to Minnesota.
