Rick's Story
Well, I have to do the math to remember just how old I am now. Probably has something to do with waking up in my late thirties with a full head of white hair. Pretty startling as my mother confessed she'd been coloring hers for twenty years.
Since KHS years I spent my four years at the Univ. of Maryland playing football and playing. It would seem that it was my intent to do as little as possible academically with regret. After making it to the next to the last cuts with the Dallas Cowboys in 1969, I married and spent the next two years in football with the Las Vegas Cowboys and Roanoke Buckskins. Made a little money but even more importantly got to see a lot of this country.
Money issues led me to the next four years as a police officer with the Montgomery County Maryland Dept of Police. That was when divorce #1 occurred. Still haven't figured out why two people headed in opposite directions could figure on a marriage working. It must have been part of my live and learn period.

plete my BA to facilitate teaching school back in Willingboro. That was a great experience filled with memorable challenges throughout. Alleged declining enrollments kept getting me laid off so back to school to become an RN. That has been my venture since '95. Who'd have thunk it? Oh, got married, fathered 3 great kids: Matt-USCG,Dave-Sony Records,& Beth-grandchild producer, and subsequently divorce #2.
The third time charm is upon me and I have remarried for the final time to my best friend ever, Donna. I have been living on board my boat for 12 years (the last 5 with Donna also aboard)but will be moving to dry land in the near future for reasons of family health. The boat will go back to being a fishing vessel striking fear into the hearts of Atlantic game fish.
To my classmates I would say just don't stop! My years in nursing have opened my eyes to what happens if we make our rest periods too long. If you are active stay that way. If not then get up off your keester and move. Time is inevitable until it stops for us.
