Rick's Story
High School is over.......What to do, What to do? Hummmm..... Then before you know it, Here comes an Army recruiter....a trip to the Sonic for a free soda, a free bus ticket to El Paso........Guess what? I'm in the ARMY NOW. Yahoooo! A ticket out of T-n-C !!!! I did the Army thing for about 14 years (worked as a Welder and Machinist).....(yea, I know.....I was shooting for a 20 year retirement as well........but the army decided it wanted to down-size....). "package" the army offered and headed back to the Land of Entrapment. Ha, (just kidding....mostly). The VA (veterans administration) offered to pay for me to go to tech school...... Next thing you know.......I'm working for Intel Corporation here in Rio Rancho. I lived in Los Lunas then Bosque Farms for several years..... Then got the bright idea to move closer to my work. I now live in Albuquerque...and have a 2 mile drive to work.... (still working at Intel....been here 26+ years).
