Rick's Story
Hello,
I was born in DuBois, PA. 1st and 2nd grade I attended St. Catherine's School. Family moved to Annandale, VA. Attended Chapel Square Elementary for 3rd grade, Pine Ridge 4 & 5, and Camelot for 6th. Luther Jackson Int. and on to WT Woodson for 9th and part of 10th. Then we moved to Dunedin, FL where I finished 10th and 11th. We moved from Dunedin in the spring of 1975, right after my junior year at DHS. So I graduated from WT Woodson HS in Fairfax, Virginia. My favorite time at DHS was singing in the choir and drama class. The best place to be was at McDonalds (the one in town, before it moved). I knew several of the "kids" that worked there. I went Tubing on Crystal River with them. I worked at Winn Dixie with Bob Larkin, Bill Davis, and Henry Gallyon. To the friends from WTW, "Party on Hamilt...Expand for more
on!" I enjoyed choir with Mr. Grant, and eariler with Mr. Chappel. I remember T.T. Lawerence, Herb Chappel, and Al Grant had their own "Top Hat" gig. I also enjoyed drama with Ms. Bettinger. I still live in VA and work as a contractor supporting the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington D.C.. I'm divorced as of March 08 and have my two boys (18 and 12) living with me and I wouldn't want it any different.
I posted a photo of myself with my first car. I purchased it 74 in Dunedin and drove it with Mr. Markett riding on the back seat during a choir fundraiser to pay for the choir's trip to Hawaii. I also drove it with Betsy Hill and her father in WTW's homecomming parade around the football field. In front of me was Jay Lazier with a Corvair and behind me was Tim Contos in his Triumph. Glory Days.
