Rick's Story

Married Northeast classmate Debi Bass two years into college and Graduated from OCU (pysch/premed). See a couple stories Debi & I contributed to the facebook page for 'Northeast High OKC Desegregation Stories 1968-73'. (Home & Community pages) While waiting to get into med school, started working for Ma Bell (OK & St. Louis) but found more fun with new telecom startups. Rode the digital technology wave through '80s & '90s including global expansion until the internet bubble burst. i's multiple retail ventures. Somehow managed to raise two very creative, resourceful and entrepreneurial daughters with Debi investing more than her share of energy. Debi & I both retired in 2020 after winding down her retail boutiques (St.Louis & OK) & Stuffed Olive restaurant at Lake Eufaula also with my completing 10+ years of broadband technology deployment across rural OK, KS, AR, MO. Now enjoy cycling & the water sports again! 2021 projects include rehabbing a vintage Airstream and doing demolition & painting on two fixer-uppers for vacation rental.
