Life Shortly after High School I enlisted in the Marine Corps, not because I was extreemely gung-ho, or had a death wish, or anything else like that, but because seemingly invariably at every job interview I went on the answer was the same "We're impressed with your education, but you have no experience", like what did they expect from someone just out of a Vo-Tech High School. So after a couple of months in Paris . . . Island, I became one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children. As a teenager I was very actively involved with Alliance Bible Quizzing, so when I was asked for my choice of duty stations I chose several on the east coast so I could still keep it touch with Quizzing. After all my MOS training was completed I was assigned a permenant duty station at MCAS Kaneohe Bay . . . Hawaii. Yep, that's right! it was real tough duty, but somebody had to do it.
