Rick's Story
Life
I joined this site so I should probably add some things to my Bio. I retired from the Detroit Police Dept after 25 years, in 1998. I went back to school and got an Associate degree in Culinary Arts. I worked at that for 3 years and then it started taking a toll on my body,(my back). So I went back to the security field. I am working for a private security company at the Army Arsenal in Warren. I will be celebrating my 35th wedding anniversary at the end of December, I married Margie Bellows, a 68 Denby Grad. and a retired Detroit School Teacher. We have one daughter, Andrea, she graduated from the University of Michigan and is now in her last semester of Law School at the University of Detroit/University of Windsor. In the coming year we hope to sell our house in Grosse Pointe Woods and build a new home just north of Richmond, Michigan. So far things have been working out pretty well,I hope it continues that way.

en 3 years ago in 2007, its time for a little update. In December I will be celebrating my 38th anniversary. I'm still working at the Arsenal, but that may end in September. The house idea in Richmond didn't work out because of the economy, so I'm still in Grosse Pointe Woods. My daughter graduated, passed the Michigan Bar, and is now living in Virginia, working for the Government. Thats about it. Things are still going pretty well.
Here I am again, 7 Years later then the last paragraph. All is still going well, Margie and I are completely retired and my daughter is still living in Virginia. We are now able to enjoy our cabin up north anytime without worrying about work schedules. I still golf and bowl with many classmates, its sort of like old times. Margie is in the process of planning a 50 year reunion for the Class of 68, I am paying attention to their process and response and hope to start making plans for a 50 reunion for the class of 69.
