Rick Marshall:

CLASS OF 1976
Bolton, MA

Rick's Story

There were actually two Richard Marshall’s at Nashoba … Richard E and myself (Richard A). Couple of folks remember me a ‘fun’ and ‘friendly’ … yeah, that would have been the other guy (Richard E) …have to admit I wasn’t very friendly in those days … just trying to survive family conditions back in those days. Did not graduate from Nashoba … was there my Freshmen thru Junior years then in 1975 moved half way across the country to Independence, Missouri for my senior year due to family circumstances. Played hockey & baseball at Nashoba …couple of years of football. Went on to the University of Kansas and earned degrees in business & computer science. Moved out to California in 1980 and was a techno nerd for 12 years then moved up to Kennewick, Washington in 1992 where I’ve been since alternating between finance, project controls, technical writing and computer application design. Currently at the Hanford Site involved with the environmental clean-up. Have had the privilege to travel the world with some great friends … been to both Poles, all seven continents, on all five ...Expand for more
oceans … still on the bucket list is standing on the equator in Ecuador and then popping down to Machu Picchu. Favorite places have been Italy (beautiful country), St Tropez and Monaco (always fun watching the rich prance & preen), Paris (love the chocolates although as I age the chocolates are not showing me much love), New York City (just so much to do and the rice pudding at Rice to Riches is great … as are the sweets at Dominique Ansel and Rocco’s) … actually a lot of favorites places but don’t want to bore the heck out of everyone so I’ll stop. Pretty much travel every weekend shooting sports photography … real sweet hobby. Can’t say I’ve been back to Nashoba since 1975, but do love coming to Boston to visit Mike’s Pastry … love the cheesecakes & cannoli. Can follow my adventures on Facebook … search for ‘Rick Marshall’ … I’m the one with a penguin holding the camera … don’t think anyone wants to see my face … not saying I’m ugly but the last time I looked in the mirror my reflection threw up … OK so perhaps not that bad, but the penguin is an upgrade.
