Rick's Story
Hi All!
Wow, its been a long time! I left Titusville right after graduating and started my new upward bound career with..... the Janitorial Department at Disney World! (Pretty hard to top that one eh?). Yea well thank goodness the brain cells continued to develop over the years. Had to part ways with my high school sweetheart (who I married and had a beautiful daughter with) due to the fact the above mentioned development was a little slow to kick in. Before parting though I joined the Air Force for some training in electronics, went to Mississippi then on to Cheyenne WY, got out of the Air Force, and came back to Daytona to Embry Riddle Aero. to start collage. Ended up graduating there with a few degrees and a daughter but without the sweetheart. Like I said development was slow...
I went on to work in television in Chicago and Milwaukee until yet another daughter was born. Then it happened... I grew up. The light bulb finally came on full brightness and I got a little more in focus (wish it had been a little quicker in com...Expand for more
ing). I moved to Indiana, finished up my carer and raising daughters. The next 15 years were spent footloose and fancy free traveling to some pretty off beat destinations. I soaked up the surroundings and culture, even learned a little more along the way. The travel lent itself to the rebirth of some old lost hobbies like photography from the high school days (yea I was the geek taking pictures for the school paper, the one who hung out in the darkroom all the time and never went to classes except choir and Peacemaker. I was the one most likely to be seen aimlessly wandering the halls during regular classes - what can I say, it was a gift).
In any case, I am very grateful to have been blessed to be able to enjoy so much throughout the years. Life has been good. To my family and friends who may be reading this, I thank you for the patience you have shown me throughout this journey. I'm sure I don't always make it easy.
