When visiting Italy, the translated version was presented and aired on TV in Naples.
Cool, but even better was the dinner afterward at a villa over looking the Bay of Naples,
complete with opera singer, and me as the guest of honor.
It would be tough to write a better finale to our incredible tour of Italy.
Pretty neat for basically jotting down a few memories from "back in the day".

rom Calabria " just published and available on Amazon. Some of you may know Joe Luca. The book is about his journey from Italy to being a highly decorated U.S. Marine fighting in Vietnam, while not yet a U.S. citizen. Facts lead the reader to ponder and decide whether Sergeant Luca was another heroic soldier nominated for the "Medal of Honor" but rejected because of discrimination. Also through Luca's eyes, one feels the ordeal of battle, and why stressful trauma is entombed in the minds of survivors..........forever.
