Rick Reed:  

After high school I attended Florida Keys Community College from 1972-1974. I met Sue Peper from Coral Shores High School and we began dating. Sue and I graduated from FKCC in 1974 and we were married on June 29th. Our first apartment was in Boca Raton where I attended Florida Atlantic Univeristy from 1974-1976 when I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Education. Sue worked while I attended school. That year I was hired to teach in Glades County, FL. at Moore Haven Jr. Sr. High School. Sue went back to school and received her degree from FAU in 1978 and worked for one year in Moore Haven. A series of events meant a move to Gilchrist County, FL. where both of us taught Social Studies at Bell High School. In June 1980 our first son, Jonathan Christopher was born. He was born with a cleft-lip and palate and required many surgeries but God blessed him and us. Our second son, Stephen was born in 1983. In 1988 I left Bell High School to help start a Christian school in Gilchrist County. I had worked to get my Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision and was hired to be the Administator.
