Rick's Story
Life
1979 - 1984 - wandered, went to Cleveland State and CCC-West, worked at Reddis Pizza, Phils Shell(both in Broadview Hts), and the BBC Nite Club in Berea. Worked up to a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do-Ji Do Kwan at Master Chuns in Middleburg Hts. Ohio. All the while doing cement work for Rocco Cement (my Dad's company)
1984 to 1995 - worked for the Lakewood Ohio Police Department. Made the SWAT Team and Investigator and taught defensive tactics. Also worked at CCC-West Police Academy teaching defensive tactics.
1991 - learned to scuba dive. 1994 earned my PADI instructor rating
1995 to present - moved to Florida and work for the Lauderhill Police Department (near Fort Lauderdale). From 2003 to 2005 I ran the Professiona...Expand for more
l Standards Unit (training, HR, Recruiting, and Internal Affairs). I was promoted to Lieutenant in December, 2005 and I am currently assigned to the Operations Bureau, in chargeo of the Training Unit, Field Training Progam, and the Underwater Recovery Team.
2000 - married Lori in Key West Florida. We are avid Parrot Heads Our Twins were born October 5, 2004 - Arabella Coral and Reef Anthony are the lights of our lives! Little Parakeets on the road to Margaritaville!
We live in Sunrise Florida and are having a blast!
I miss Ohio and my friends and family back there, but not the SNOW and the cold. The only ice I like is in my Margarita!
