Rick's Story
Two kids: Megan, mother of two and a teacher in Portland, Oregon; Jared, helicopter pilot and firefighter currently living in Santa Monica.
After graduating from CSUN in '76 I moved to the Rogue Valley in southern Oregon and have lived in Medford, Jacksonville, and Ashland. Current favorite living writer is David James Duncan. I recommend everything he's written. I taught one of his books, the last novel assigned to seniors, The River Why. If you read that you'll want to read The Brothers K.
Travelled? Yep. Let's see, all over Europe four times (missed some of the eastern countries), Australia, Morocco, the Canary Islands, and leaving soon for Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Cambodia with my honey Claire (Benveniste, also a TOHS '69 grad). We love live music, including the Kate Wolf Music Festival, a four day affair in northern California each June. We've been to too many concerts to mention.
I see I have well over 18,000 characters remaining so I could talk politics. But no.
