Rick's Story

Went to UTA because it was cheap and I was a white trash boy form Oak Cliff. Graduated in chemistry in 72 and worked for an oil company for a while. Started to dental school in 74 and graduated in 77. Shortly thereafter I was diagnosed with a malignant marriage and untreated it would have been fatal. An emergency wifectomy was performed in 1980. Chemotherapy was instituted under the direction of Drs. Johnny Walker and Jack Daniels at the Chivas Regal Clinic. It was successful but there were complications. I now have a large ugly keloid where my butt used to be. I completed all chemotherapy on October 19, 1992 and my liver and I are once again on speaking terms. Married again in 82 and still married to her. Mother-in-law in disbelief. Bad...Expand for more
with money and have to keep working to support wife, airplane, and son in college. Hope he graduates soon. Daughter lives in New York City and still looking for herself at age 32. Hope she finds herself soon but she has been off budget since 2000 so it's her nickle anyway. She is a left wing liberal so we don't talk much. Usually ends in a fight. We try to be civil at least once a year but I have to pay the airfare. Work interferes with my flying, gambling, hunting, fishing and golf. Other than that I have lots of freetime. Did I mention the yard? I have to go back to work just to rest up for the weekend. Don't want to quit actually as I finaly got good at it and it is loads of fun to be down in the mouth every single day. More later.

The narrow gauge steam train in durango. Looks like we will have to try that in the summer. In a conflict of cultures, I took this pic from the McDonalds parking lot!
I have sober for 21 years 3 months and 17days ( but who is counting). Glad my wife did not have a concealed carry permit in the bad old days.
Sunrise at the ranch in the panhandle. No traffic to ruin a nice drive to the office. Now I remember why I left Big D.
The real use of a computer, a place to put your most important sticky notes!
My favorite t-shirt of all time! Not biographical for me, thank goodness.
Ouch! I know I came into the bathroom for a reason but now I am clueless as to why.

Ok, plant people what is this flower? Pic taken in the North Carolina mountains.
Mega oil tanker headed down the Mississippi in New Orleans
Cold night in Booker. Warm fire makes it a nice evening with a wonderful wife.
Snowing tonight in the panhandle and another roaring fire for a cozy evening with my wonderful wife. Some of you in warmer climes still mowing the lawn? Winter can be good.
That special gift for that certain someone in your life!
Skiing at Purgatory with family. Wish some of you were here. Good early snow for a change. Still ski fairly well for old man but Colorado black diamonds are only a memory.
Reminds me of me. Actually reminds me of the first day of our trees on Falls Dr.
In the hills of NC. Get your orders to me in the next day or so.
If you need the Braille to find the flight planning room then you really ought to think about being a charter customer
A mans toothpaste tube, squeezed from the back and how to replace the lost cap!
5 degrees outside. Not so bad inside. Haven't mowed since September.
I haven't made a new tshirt in a while but this one just begged to be made.
