Rick's Story
Life
Still married to Cruzita (20yrs). Oldest daughter, Amber, is sophomore in college, middle daughter, Andrea is playing basketball at Porterville College, and youngest daughter, Ashlee, is a senior at Stockdale in Bakersfield. Son, Jonathan, age 6.
Am in my first year as the head football coach at Corcoran High School after being the head coach at McFarland the past two years.
College
Had to support my family while going to college, so my memories are studying and working many different graveyard shift jobs...Expand for more
. Got degree in biology, minors in chemistry and physics. Took me 8 years by I survived!! Now working on my masters so I can be an athletic director.
Workplace
After teaching physics for 7 years...will do independent study at Corcoran so I can focus more on football.
Military
After being married the day after graduation, was in boot camp 2 weeks later. Trained in electronics in USMC. Never left California, got out just before Desert Storm. Used the military money to pay for college. Served from 1985-1988.
