Rick's Story
Favorite quote... "So far, this is the oldest I've ever been"
It’s been a while since I updated this so with my 50 year reunion coming up I thought I might do that.
I Left my broadcasting career in 2001 after 29 years. I was doing a radio talk show in Miami for the last 15 years under the name Rick Riley. I dropped "UTT" for obvious reasons. Have two boys. Chad who's 38 and is operations manager for West Coast Customs, one of the premier custom car shops in the country. They also have a TV show, “Inside West Coast Customs”. My other son Kyle is 34 and the manager of a Home Depot in Myrtle Beach, SC. One of their youngest managers in the national chain.
My wife, Carin is a homeschool mom to our adopted daughters Angelina, 15 and Abby, 11. Carin and I met when she was a Miami Dolphin Cheerleader and I, working for the station that broadcast the Dolphin games, had her as a guest on my show. Been married to Carin for 26 years.
Through a strange turn of events, I now live just outside of Portland, Oregon on four acres with my wife, daughters, sixty plus chickens, a horse, a sheep, a peacock and a dog. I also have a recording studio at the house, where I ...Expand for more
do Voiceover work. This will be my eighth season as the commercial / promo / documentary voice of the Minnesota Vikings. Also work for the Oakland Raiders, Notre Dame and the Washington Huskies, as far as football goes. Other work takes me anywhere from Pizza Hut to Wrangler Jeans to Pepsi to Microsoft and Oracle. I have a website with my work at Rickrileyvoice dot com if you’re interested.
Still love most things with a motor, spicing up life with the occasional sports car or motorcycle. Love to ski and have been doing so most of my life and tennis fills most of my week either playing with the family or the guys four to five times a week. My daughter Angelina, is a smokin’ hot player and if she keeps at it, should get a scholarship to play.
As far as logistics, radio took me to the northwest for 9 years. After living in Ft. Lauderdale, moving back to So Cal for a while to take care of Mom, and then Nashville for a year, we moved back to the Northwest, Portland, and love it here. Best place we've ever lived!
If you’re going to the 50th, hope you have a great time. Leave a note here if you’d like. If I knew you in high school I’d like to hear from you!
