Ricky's Story
Hello,
This is Ricky Walden from Class of "69".
I spent 4 years in the Marines, 1 in Vietnam lost a lot of good friends. The other 3 years were places like the Philippines, Thailand, Guam etc and I got to visit many other places because of my position; like Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and others. I spent a total of 10 years in Germany and visited many places there, like Italy, France, Denmark, Greece, Belgium to mention a few. The 10 years in Germany was while I was in the Army. After the Marines, I worked Civil Service for a couple of years and ended up getting married and went back in the service in 1976, this time in the Army. I spent 18 years in the Army as a Senior Warrant officer.

rried and one engaged and I have 1 grandchild so far. I got divorced in 2007 after 33 years of Marriage. I knew pretty early on, it wasn't going to work, but swore I would stay until the youngest was old enough to understand everything, so I waited a lot of years. Some say you shouldn't let children keep you together and to bail out when you want, but I had made a promise to myself that I would wait it out, so there were alot of wasted years marriage wise. Not by any means wasted because of the children, just the marriage.
Well I am now single and looking. I don't want to spend the rest of my life alone.
After all the military stuff, I finished mt BA and was working on a Masters degree. I did mostly government contract work and served in positions such as System Support Engineer, Logistics Engineer and Project manager. I am currently retired.
