Jo's Story

Life I am a widow with three boys. My oldest is thirty three years old. He is a doctor in Baton Rouge. He and his wife have a 3 year old boy and just recently had a baby girl named Kara. ceived two teaching credentials in elementary education and special education. I also have a Masters degree in Educational Psychology. I taught elementary school for fifteen years and also a resource specialist for 15 years. I am currently retired. I enjoy spending my spare time with my family and hobbies which include gourmet baking and cooking, reading, and volunteering my time in various community activities.

Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte was filmed at the Houmas Plantation. This is the staircase where the head rolled down in the movie.We climbed this staircase to the second floor where the bedrooms were. located.
This is one of the children's bedrooms. You can see a wooden rocking horse. All of the bedrooms were beautiful!
This is the beautiful dining room on the plantation.
Walked around New Orleans until we reached Bourbon Street. Crazy people, music, stores, pubs, and lots of beads!
