Rita's Story
Life
What have I done since graduation? I met and married a wonderful man from Pittsburgh. I earned my AD in Nursing and worked for 5 years at a local physicians office (in Toledo) before quitting to become a full-time mother. In 1997 we had our beautiful daughter, Alex. Together my husband, daughter and myself have travelled quite a bit, even to England twice. lyball, and take care of my family. It is the best, and most important job in my life.
I have recently become involved in a national fundraiser for childhood cancer. I am the event organizer for the local St. Baldrick's Celebration, a headshaving event to bring awareness and raise funds to help support childhood cancer research. The support dollars raised goes to the research of the Children's Oncology Group, the physicians, scientists, nurses and support staff working in over 200 Children's Hospitals nationwide.
