Rita's Story

Wow, does the time go by!!!! Could anyone believe that you would some day say I graduated 40 years ago. Doesn't seem possible but next June, 40 years. Life has been good and I couldn't have asked for things to be any better. I am married to a wonderful guy, Mark who is a Battalion Chief for Cal Fire (he spoils me rotten). I have two great kids and 2 beautiful grandchildren. I retired from the state 5 years ago as a fire dispatcher after spending 12 years as a paramedic. Now I run our business. We make fire, police and EMS gear packs, Gear 911 Specialties, Inc. Most mornings I spend riding my horses and the r...Expand for more
est of the day at the business. Both my children live near me here in Fresno so I spend lots of time with them and the grandchildren, Austen 13 and Rylee Paige 10. Both the children are my son Matt's (Steve Kay's son) Matt graduated from UOP and has been with CHP for 14 years. My daughter Nicole has a degree from Fresno State in child development and works for a company that writes school children's math and science books, she also is a swim coach. I am considering going to the Oakdale reunion but would love to lose 20 lbs so we will see. Sent e-mail would love to hear what everyone is doing or has been doing.
