Life
My Spouse
I met my husband at the GE Bowling Alley. The Saturday morning league was primarily kids from Central High School.
His best friend was dating my step-sister. They fixed us up on a "blind date" on Palm Sunday - The day of all the tornadoes in Ohio and Indiana. We had gone to Ohio and drove through terrible rainstorms - not realizing that there were tornadoes all around the area. Was God trying to tell me something??
My Kids
David is an electrical engineer. He designs winding machines, builds them, then installs them. He has traveled to Mexico, Canada, Germany and China (plus lots of US locations) for his job. He has three beautiful daughters. He was in Russia in Jan/07 and heads to Prague in 4/07. He travels the world - I travel the USA!! : )
Melissa and her husband live in Seattle. She works for a TPA. Her largest insurance account is the school system in Alaska. Her husband works for IBM. They just learned that they are expecting their first child in November - after 14 years of marriage!! A miracle!
Christopher is in the Army National Guard. He was in Iraq at the start of "Desert Freedom" in 2003. He is married to a lovely lady and has two toddlers. He will most likely be called back to activ...Expand for more
e duty before 2008. Pray for him and all the men and women serving in the armed forces to keep us all free!!
Elizabeth works part time, attends college part time working toward a degree in graphic arts, and has three beautiful children - two boys and a girl.
My Job
I LOVE my jobs! I work three businesses out of my home office. I work primarily with clients in the 64+ age range in my main job as an insurance agent. I counsel people re: Medicare, Medicare Supps, Long Term Care,Medicare Advantage plans - and now the Part D plans. Believe me, this area of insurance is a constantly changing animal - and not always for the better!! I had been the financial manager for our church daycare - payroll, taxes, reports, etc until last year. I have been active in Shaklee for over 23 years - nutrition and environmentally safe cleaning products are my main focus here. In my "spare" time, I serve on four levels of the National Association of Health Underwriters: Treasurer for the local chapter, Awards Chair for the State and Regional Associations (which puts me on the National Awards Committee as well!). On those rare occasions that I can "zone out" - I read, read, read - preferably on the sunroom of our wonderful new home in NE Fort Wayne!
