Rita's Story

I attended Ketchum Elementary School, Kramer Junior High, and Anacostia High School. I was in Sigma Lamda Beta sorority. I am retired from the College of Southern Maryland and have a son and daughter both are married, in addition to two grandson's and two granddaughters. I was on the shy side when I was in school. I have been married for 52 years to my high school sweetheart. I play golf, gardening, attend movies, plays, love dancing, and love to travel. I have been to Europe, Mediterranean, Canada, Mexico, and various places throughout the United States. I belong to the Swan Point Social Club which is in our comm...Expand for more
unity, and most of all I love spending time with my grandchildren and family. I play Bunco with a group of ladies once a month, and love to socialize with neighbors and friends. I like walking, riding my bike and sewing. I've taken an art course and fencing course at the College, which was a lot of fun, plus tennis lessons (which I was not good at). I liked skiing, but due to a knee injury years ago, can not do anymore. I love the outdoors as long as it is not too hot. I love mountains, streams, waterfalls, etc. I like camping, but husband doesn't like it, so no camping. We try to stay active as much as possible.
