Rita's Story
I am known to all my classmates as Rita Grottie. Lived in Jacinto City from an early age, pre-school. Our home was on Munn Street in Jacinto Oaks just across from a dead end where the woods started that followed Hunting Bayou. Those woods were such fun to hang out in! Riding bikes down the trails and building tree houses it was almost like living in the country. I went to Pyburn, Woodland Acres Jr. High and then on to Galena Park High School. After graduation I went to San Jacinto Jr. College like many of my classmates and earned an Associate Degree. engaged and married. Roger and have been married since 1972. We have had some fun and interesting times throughout those years. We are still working in the oilfield industry and our companies manufacture many different oilfield products. We have 2 wonderful daughters, 3 grand-daughters and 1 grandson. We have a house in Cypress and a ranch near Hempstead where we spend most weekends and the children and grandkids hang out there a lot also. We have traveled the world for business and pleasure and have learned that the most important things are most often the simplest. We enjoy our friends and family, love to travel and try new things.
