Rita's Story
I moved to SE Florida with my family 1 year after graduation and never entered college. I've worked at an art gallery/auction, a department store, for two attorneys and two banks, a Christian school, and AAA until 2008. I married my husband, Bob, an Architect from New York, almost 38 years ago in West Palm Beach, Fl and we had 2 sons and built 3 homes in the area. In January 1993, at age 13, our first son, Eric, died in a car accident. It was the most horrible, gut-wenching time of my life, but being a born again Christian since age 30, I was able to cope with our loss and I believe I will see him again in heaven when God calls me there. Our second son, Craig, is now 32 and after attending culinary school and a short time with the US Air Force, now works at a local grocery store and enjoys it. ip services and bible studies every week. In December 2009 I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and have no memory of my days just prior to surgery. Thank God it wasn't cancer! The recovery took quite a while, though. I have returned to New Jersey a few times and enjoyed seeing Woodbury, Deptford, Cape May Beach and Wildwood where I spent much of my childhood. Both my sisters and parents live within an hour from us. My brother died 10 years ago. My husband has a daughter in California from a previous marriage. She is married and has three children and is living out of our country right now. I felt sad when I couldn't attend our 25th HS reunion, but look forward the day when I'll see you all again.
