Michael's Story
Life
I am a Tax Enforcement Officer for the county I live in. I have been a rape crisis counselor for over 16 years now. I own and 100% run a very suscessful honeybee business in my spare time. For over 10 years I have been a RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) instructor and aggressor. I raised 2 kids on my own for over 12 years and they are now both grown and on their own and my daughter has given me the best granddaughter in the world. As a hobby I buy and collect very old toys and antiques and ancient artifacts. I have had some of the greatest times of my life just in the last 5 years with working in and becoming an active part of the local government and in the last few years doing a great program in DC in the summer for the Smithsonian with a live interactive program to teach people from all over the world about the fun in raising honeybees and the benifits of having a personal endless supply of fresh honey. bees and beekeeping. Sharing my spare time with these children also helps release a lot of the pressure of my fulltime job which is often the coldest job on the planet by having to enforce tax laws and often taking everything from those who worked hard to earn their lives but want to fight the government and not pay their fair share of what the law requires. These wonderful and specail kids can help remove your mind from the coldness of putting people on the street for refusing to obey the laws. It sucks to be Tax Enforcement in a State that is so serious about it's State and local taxes that Tax Enforcment in VA are not required to have a Judge or Court order to seize money or property when taxes are legally owed. VA is a state that allows payroll seizures of 100% of the taxpayers income to enforce full payment of back taxes and all it takes is the signature of the Tax Enforcement officer. Working with these wonderful kids in spare time is a great outlet to get away from the daily pressures of life.
