Carolyn's Story
Life
Married with 3 grown children,7 grandchildren and & spouses or boyfriends . My oldest great-granddaughters (twins) will be going to High School soon.. I still do some sewing crafts and more into decorating cakes for family and friends. Iam involved in a lot of activities with the American Legion Post that my husband & I belong to. Also activities in my church. During the summer months, I do lots of yard work to keep active. We have some rather large picnics with friends, family and neighbors. In my neighborhood, most of us are like family looking out for each other (I live in a cul-de-sac).
I moved out of Camden in 1974 but my sister lived there until she passed away in May of 2018. We had lived in the same house my grandfather built in the early 1900's.. the house was sold eventually. There is no way I would ever move back there.. When I got married the first time, I lived on a little street in back of the football field in a row house. It was nice then. ive within 20 miles or so and I do get to see them once in a while. All the grandchildren are out of High School as of 2013. One graduated from Stockton in May of 2012 and her sister will graduate in 2014 and continue for 3 more years to obtain her goal in the profession she is working to. All of my grandchildren are doing well in their professions.Time sure flies when your having fun and I don't seem to get any older I think I stopped counting a couple of years ago. I am living a comfortable happy life right now with not too many worries. I haven't really seen anyone from High School for quite sometime except for my friend Ruth R. & she found me after the 40 something class reunion. She also came to my 70th Surprise Party. Since then I have seen several other girls from the class and we get together for lunch sometimes. I hope to continue in good health and be active for many years to come.
Update on my growing family, Several of the granddaughters have moved out of State with spouses in the Service. Will miss them. Since I last updated this, I now have 6 great=grandchildren plus 2 step-great grandchildren. They go from 16 months to 13 years. 6 girls and 2 boys! I love them all.
