Rob's Story
Graduated and married my high school sweetheart (Deborah Price). We moved to Sioux City, IA where I became a union carpenter. When the construction market went flat in the early 70's, went to work as a civilian jailer and went back to school. Was appointed as a Deputy Sheriff and have been assigned to all divisions within the Sheriffs Department. Four years ago I was appointed the Assistant Chief in charge of the jail division. e on the job and age to take a full retirement!
Deb and I have one Daughter and three Granddaughters who live close enough to us to be able to visit at least once a month, and far enough away to make the visits special. We enjoy camping and bicycling which in turn allows me a chance for some "disconnect" time from work.
Update:
Finally did hang up the gun belt and am enjoying retirement! I will especially enjoy NOT having to supplement the patrol division taking accident reports this winter.
