Rob's Story
My Life
Married with 6 children. 3/3. Four natural and the last two adopted. 20 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Married to Sally (Cooper) Greuling for 55 yrs - ran away to get married and married my high school sweetheart. Had been President in St. Vincent de Paul and Board Chairman. Developed thrift stores that funded the development and operations of a homeless shelter along the Biloxi Gulf Coast. Closed stores and donated it all to build the Biloxi homeless shelter. Have helped, and continue, to feed the hungry, clothe the poor, provide safe respite for those in-need of shelter, and provide care for those men, women, and children who have been trafficked, are immigrants, or have been unjustly dejected in society. Have helped others to overcome addictions, helped to educate those desiring to improve themselves and have worked to promote social justice. I’m the VP of our Library, and am CEO of Archangel Ministries, a nonprofit supporting our community, I’m on the Board of our Historical Society. We’ve retired to 89 acres in Lumberton, MS and built a new home. Have helped my eldest daughter to develop another coffee house, and now a restaurant. I’m developing a community food pantry, garden & a community garden club, GED and computer education courses, a Workforce Program to engage young adults in an apprenticeship and to gain college, and if I can find time - a radio station. I’m in the role of Executive Director for the Lumberton Main Street Association. ommunity. I speak publicly on issues impacting our community in front of our community, County, and state legislature. I’m a cantor and vocalist in community choirs.
Completed my BA and an MBA. After having spent 6 years in the Navy, developed a solid background in computers, IT, and electronic systems across a number of industries. Since, Ive progressively developed a broad background in business finance and global marketing developing entrepreneurial businesses, and having led a $ 44 MM global business segment within GE. Developed skill in business analysis, integration, restructuring, and divestitures. Developed/sold coffee shops after retiring in 2014 after medical issues. 25+ years involvement in Scouts as Boy Scout Leader, Angel Network, Habitat for Humanity, and participation in a number of other civic and church activities over the years. Throughout the past several years we've been in every state and have been fortunate to have lived several years overseas in Asia, traveling globally for both business and pleasure. Traveled four years in an RV throughout the United States. Currently semi-retired in Mississippi. We had moved back to Columbus, OH after having lived in both Dallas and LA for few years. Since, moved to the Gulf Coast to semi-retire and now have retired to our country home…. but back to being entrepreneurs - this time for charity.
